Biography

Overview

Adnan works between the Dubai and London offices and advises private equity firms, sovereign wealth funds, other financial sponsors and alternative capital providers on a range of transactions including acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, equity investments and co-investments and other corporate matters. Prior to joining White & Case, Adnan worked for a magic circle firm in London, where he also spent six months on secondment in Milan.

Representative experience includes:

Representation of Kentech (an energy & industrial services support company based in the UAE), a portfolio company of Blue Water Energy, in its acquisition of the oil & gas and engineering & consulting business of SNC-Lavalin.

Representation of Centerbridge Partners and Gallatin Point Capital on their acquisition of a 32.5 percent controlling stake in Phoenix Holdings Ltd, the largest insurance company in Israel, from Delek Group Ltd.

Representation of Goldman Sachs International in its investment for a minority of stake in Modanisa Elektronik Mağazacılık ve Ticaret A.Ş., an e-commerce based retailer selling modern conservative clothing and accessories.

Representation of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in its second round of subscription to the minority shares of Modanisa, the Turkish modest fashion e-commerce company, as part of the total funding of approximately US$19.5 million provided together with the other investors.
