Biography

Overview

Aron Senoner is an associate in the Brussels office of White & Case and a member of the Firm's EU law practice group. Aron joined White & Case in 2020.

Aron advises private and sovereign clients on a broad variety of complex EU law issues, with particular focus on EU competition proceedings, regulatory issues, and trade defense investigations.

Aron advises on all aspects of competition law, including cartel, abuse of dominance, and multijurisdictional merger control proceedings. Aron has assisted clients in proceedings before the European Commission, National Competition Authorities, and EU courts.

Aron's practice also includes EU trade law matters such as representing clients in EU trade defence proceedings before the European Commission, having built particular experience in the steel sector.

Aron also regularly advises on EU regulatory law including, among other, on internal market rules, EU REACH, the EU Whistleblower Directive, the Deforestation Regulation, veterinary and human medicinal product regulations, and other complex regulatory instruments. He is member of the Firm's global ESG & Sustainability Associate Working Group.

His experience covers a wide range of industries including commodities, oil & gas, energy markets, chemicals, financial markets, manufacturing, transport, e-commerce, infrastructure, technology, and automotive.

Aron has also contributed to various pro bono projects, in particular advice on human and EU citizenship rights (e.g., on ECHR and EU Charter rights).

Prior to joining White & Case, Aron was a Blue Book Trainee at DG Competition within European Commission, where he worked on antitrust investigations.

Aron holds a Magister Juris degree from the University of Oxford where he specialized in EU and UK competition law, EU regulatory law, and international economic law. Before that, he obtained an LLB in International and European Law (summa cum laude) from the University of Groningen, while also completing courses in macroeconomics and regulatory economics. He spent one year as a visiting student (First Class) at the University of Edinburgh where he focused on, among other, WTO law, international investment law, and international commercial litigation.
