Biography

Overview

Chunfu Yan is a Senior Trade Analyst with White & Case's International Trade Group, and is based in the Firm's Washington, DC office.

Chunfu specializes in Chinese trade and investment law; China's participation in bilateral and multilateral trade agreements; trade remedy law and investigations of China, the United States and other jurisdictions; and World Trade Organization disputes. He also provides analysis of US trade policy toward China. Chunfu advises clients in antidumping proceedings and anti-circumvention inquiries before the US Department of Commerce, antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before the Ministry of Commerce of China, safeguard investigations before the US International Trade Commission, as well as anti-evasion investigations pursuant to the Enforce and Protect Act and other relevant proceedings before the US Customs and Border Protection.

Prior to joining White & Case, Chunfu worked in a law firm in in Beijing, China. He advised Chinese exporters in trade remedy actions and Chinese government in WTO dispute settlements. Chunfu also undertook research projects from the Chinese government related to multinational trade negotiations.
