Biography

Overview

Georgi Ropanov specializes in advising on international trade law, including anti-dumping, anti-subsidy, and safeguard proceedings. He also reports on a number of trade-related developments in the EU and the WTO.

Since 2000 Georgi Ropanov has advised clients in a large number of unfair trade cases before the European Commission, the US Department of Commerce, the US International Trade Commission and the Turkish Undersecretariat for Foreign Trade.

Unfair trade cases on which he has worked have covered a multitude of different products, ranging from steel beams, plates and concrete reinforcing bars to fertilizers to shrimp and plastic bags, and have related to countries including Russia, Moldova, Romania, Germany, Italy, India, Thailand, Ukraine and the Czech Republic. In most cases Mr. Ropanov has advised the exporters involved in these investigations.
