Experience

PT Trans Retail

Advised the mandated lead arrangers and original lenders on a US$1.275 billion senior secured financing provided to subsidiaries of Indonesian conglomerate CT Corpora, which was named "Loan of the Year" at the IFR Asia Awards 2014. The proceeds were used to refinance the US$750 million loan for PT Trans Retail's acquisition of a 60 percent stake in Carrefour Indonesia, the local unit of French retailer Carrefour, to refinance an existing US$450 million loan to PT Trans Media Corpora and PT Televisi Transformasi Indonesia, and to refinance an existing US$150 million financing provided to PT Trans Corpora, which was used for the acquisition of an 80 percent stake in PT Indonusa Telemedia (TelkomVision). The original lenders included ANZ, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, DBS Bank, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, ING Bank, Maybank, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Standard Chartered Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.

Channelview Investment Ltd.

Advised Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore Branch and DBS Bank Ltd. as the joint mandated lead arrangers of the financing provided to Channelview Investment Ltd. for the public-to-private leveraged buyout of Beyonics Technology Limited.

Bayan Resources

Advised Bayan Resources on its largest financing to date, a US$750 million term loan (with an option to increase it to US$950 million), for refinancing debt and funding corporate and working capital requirements as well as expansion opportunities. Bayan is one of Indonesia's biggest coal producers listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange. The lenders are Sumitomo Mitsui Banking, ANZ, Bank Mandiri, HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, JP Morgan and Natixis.

MMI Holdings Limited

Advised Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and JPMorgan Securities as joint mandated lead arrangers of the US$600 million credit facility provided to a Kohlberg Kravis Roberts-led group to take private MMI Holdings Limited, a Singapore public company. This was FinanceAsia's "Leveraged Finance Deal of the Year 2007" and is one of the largest public-to-private leveraged buyout financings in Singapore.

IndoCoal Exports (Cayman) Limited / PT Kaltim Prima Coal/PT Arutmin Indonesia

Advised IndoCoal Exports (Cayman) Limited (IndoCoal), PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) and PT Arutmin Indonesia (Arutmin) on the US$600 million future flows-backed securitization involving the sale of receivables by KPC and Arutmin to IndoCoal and the issuance of notes backed by such receivables. It was the first cross-border securitization and first investment-grade bond deal out of Indonesia since 1997, the stand-out deal of the year in the ABS market and was recognized as "Securitization Deal of the Year" at the IFLR Asia Awards 2006.
