Hendrik Röger concentrates on labor law. He renders legal advice for national and international clients in all areas of individual and collective labor law.
His main areas of practice are advising in both complex transaction and restructuring matters, as well as labor law in insolvency scenarios. His work includes litigation for the said areas.
Before joining White & Case, Hendrik Röger was a research assistant at the Institute for Labour Law at the University of Hamburg and visiting lecturer at the University of Hamburg. Since its foundation, Hendrik has been a visiting lecturer at the Hamburg Media School and also for the Bucerius Executive Education Program at the Bucerius Law School. On a regular basis, however, he works as a lecturer at the Handelsblatt Financial Training / Euroforum for reorganisation law and insolvency labour law.
Advising German airline company Air Berlin on several labor and employment law aspects of its restructuring program including highly complex conciliation processes and labor resolution procedures, defense of applications for injunctive relief and various employment law disputes.
Advising the Finnish investor Ahlström Capital on various transactions in the packaging industry.
Advising an international syndicate consisting of Allianz Capital Partners, Borealis Infrastructure Management Inc., Infinity Investments SA and MEAG, the asset management arm of Münchener Rück, in employment matters with the acquisition of Autobahn Tank & Rast GmbH, the German autobahn services company.
Advising Super Group on its acquisition of the IN tIME group from funds advised by Equistone Partners Europe in employment matters.
Advising on employment law with the restructuring of several insolvent companies (e.g. Whitesell – Automotive / Conergy – Photovoltaic / Hertie – Retail / Schieder Möbel – Furniture / Hamburg International – Aviation), including "restructuring by transfers"; distressed M&A transactions, negotiations with works councils and unions, implementation of transfer measures (transfer companies) and representation in a large number of lawsuits.
