Overview

Ida Kučerová is a lawyer in the Prague office who primarily concentrates on providing financing and legal advice to banking institutions.

Ms. Kučerová provides ongoing advisory services to major financial institutions and companies in connection with international and domestic financial transactions.

Ms. Kučerová participated in several financial transactions involving acquisition and operative financing, as well as export and real estate financing. In her practice, she has mainly been engaged in drafting and negotiating contractual documentation.

Ms. Kučerová has been involved in several major insolvency cases in the region of Eastern Europe. In some such insolvency proceedings, complex financing arrangements were tested before the Czech courts for the first time, and the concepts of syndicated lending and security agents' rights (including parallel debt arrangements) were successfully defended for the first time in the Czech Republic

Representation of the secured creditors in connection with insolvency proceedings against BOHEMIA CRYSTALEX TRADING a.s., CRYSTALEX a.s., Sklo Bohemia, a.s., SKLÁRNY KAVALIER, a.s., and Sklárny BOHEMIA a.s., a major Czech group of glass producers.

Ongoing representation of a syndicate of senior creditors, six CEE-based commercial banks, in connection with the complex court reorganization of an industrial group consisting of several companies with operations in three CEE countries.

Representation of a major Czech bank in connection with acquisition financing provided to a Czech industrial holding company to finance the acquisition of five hydro power stations with a total power capacity of 95 MW in Turkey; this was one of the largest cases of export financing ever provided by a Czech bank.

Representation of foreign banks in connection with the syndicated financing of an acquisition of a brewery group in Central and Eastern Europe.

Advising a domestic bank in connection with implementing new EU consumer loan legislation.
