Dann Irving is an associate in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Group in London. He advises clients on the project development and project finance aspects of energy and infrastructure projects, acting for sponsors, lenders and governments. Dann's experience includes advising on large scale, complex, cross-border projects across the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Dann has previously spent time working in the firm’s Moscow office (2011) and Abu Dhabi office (2013-16).

Bahrain LNG

Advising a consortium, which includes a South Korean entity, who have been mandated by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain (following an international competitive tendering process) to develop the LNG import terminal project in Bahrain on a BOOT basis. The Project is expected to comprise the development, construction, ownership, financing, operation and maintenance of (i) the offshore LNG import facility located 4.5 km offshore from Khalifa Bin Salman Port of Bahrain, (ii) storage facility, (iii) a Floating Storage Unit (FSU); (iv) associated gas pipelines from the LNG import facility to the national gas grid of Bahrain; and (v) other ancillary facilities.

Pakistan LNG

Advising International Finance Corporation (IFC), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and a syndicate of local banks on the project financing of the first 4.5 MTPA LNG facility at Port Qasim in Pakistan. The receiving, re-gasification and storage facility will be the first LNG import terminal in Pakistan and will enable the country to import LNG and help meet the growing demand for natural gas.

Tahrir Petrochemical Complex

Advising Tahrir Petrochemicals Company in connection with the development and financing of a US$multi-billion petrochemical complex in Egypt.

EMAL Smelter Project (Phase II)

Advising the lenders (comprising ECAs and international and local banks) in connection with the US $4 billion financing of the EMAL Phase II aluminium smelter project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Rabigh Phase II Expansion

Advising Saudi Aramco (as sponsor, alongside co-sponsor Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd) on the development and financing for the US$8 billion expansion of an existing, world-scale petroleum refining and petrochemicals complex in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia.
