Overview

Jun Usami is the Executive Partner of Tokyo office of the Firm and head of White & Case's Corporate/M&A practice in Tokyo.

A recognised leader in the Japanese market, his work spans all areas of corporate practice, including M&A, private equity, management buyouts (MBOs), leveraged buyouts (LBOs), strategic alliances and joint ventures.

He has developed a strong track record in cross-border work, from mid-market to large, complex deals, and has also helped domestic clients to implement global compliance and incentive plans.

He has represented clients in a number of industries including industrial, automotive, TMT (telecommunications, media and technology), finance, retail and food and beverage business.

Jun is widely regarded as one of the very top M&A lawyers in the Japan legal market and listed as a leading lawyer for M&A in Japan in Chambers Global, Chambers Asia-Pacific, Asia Pacific Legal, IFLR 1000 and The Best Lawyers in Japan.
