Ketan Pastakia is an associate in the Intellectual Property Group. Ketan's practice focuses on complex patent litigation matters, with particular emphasis on Internet software, mobile devices, telecommunications, cable network equipment, and automotive hardware. Ketan has represented clients in many phases of patent litigation, including pre-suit investigation, document discovery, invalidity and non-infringement contentions, inter partes review, expert reports and depositions, summary judgment, and pretrial orders. His practice also includes litigating issues involving standard-essential patents.
Ketan also counsels clients on intellectual property issues arising from corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisition and the licensing of various technologies. He has also participated in discovery of special matters and government investigations involving automotive companies and international banks.
Ketan holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in information networking. Prior to attending law school, he spent many years as a senior technical analyst and project manager for telecommunications companies.
