Overview

Taurie M. Zeitzer is White & Case's Global Co-Head of Private Equity and is a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Global Practice Group where she focuses on large-cap private equity, mergers & acquisitions and complex corporate transactions. Working on behalf of some of the largest and most sophisticated global private equity firms and corporate clients, Ms. Zeitzer has completed numerous multibillion dollar transactions, including leveraged buyouts, take-private transactions, cross-border transactions and carve-out transactions. 

She also frequently represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in related matters, including financings, follow-on acquisitions, dispositions, strategic joint ventures, corporate governance and management equity and incentive plans. In addition, Taurie advises private equity funds and senior deal professionals with respect to carried interest, compensation and governance arrangements. 

Taurie's work has earned her recognition as a leading Private Equity M&A lawyer in the United States by Chambers and The Legal 500. In 2023, Taurie was named "Private Equity Lawyer of the Year" at Euromoney's Women in Business Law Americas Awards, where she was also recognized in 2018. She has been recognized multiple times as a "Private Equity MVP" by Law360, most recently in 2023. In 2021, The Deal named Taurie one of its "Top Women in Dealmaking" for private equity. Business Insider also named her "Top Private Equity Dealmaker" in 2019. In 2018, she was featured in The Deal's "Women in M&A: The Powerhouse 20" and listed as one of the top 500 Lawyers in America by Lawdragon magazine. In 2017, Taurie was featured in Crain's New York Business's inaugural list of Leading Women Lawyers in New York City. She has also been recognized as one of the top 500 Lawyers in America by Lawdragon magazine every year since 2015 and was recently named to the magazine's "Legends of 2023" list.

Prior to joining White & Case Ms. Zeitzer was global co-chair of the Mergers & Acquisitions group of a large international law firm. Additionally, she has served as a trusted advisor to Apollo Global Management since 1998 and to Searchlight Capital Partners since its inception.
