Tomáš Jíně's practice covers a broad range of finance matters, with a particular focus on the representation of lenders, sponsors and corporate borrowers in cross-border leveraged finance transactions, financial restructurings and derivative and repo transactions.

Representing Societe Generale as coordinating mandated lead arranger and Citibank Europe plc, Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Československá obchodní banka, a.s., Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, ING Bank N.V., The Royal Bank of Scotland plc and UniCredit Bank Austria AG as mandated lead arrangers in connection with the financing of the acquisition of Telefonica Czech Republic, the leading mobile, fixed-line and IPTV operator in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, by PPF Group, with total financing amounting to EUR 2.288 billion, covering part of the acquisition price and the consideration paid in the subsequent mandatory takeover. The transaction represents the largest bank finance transaction and the first public acquisition of its kind in the Czech Republic.

Representation of VTB Capital plc bank and Corporate Commercial Bank AD as a lead bank finance and restructuring associate in connection with a debt restructuring, recapitalization and acquisition of Bulgarian Telecommunications Company AD and certain of its affiliates through schemes of arrangement under Part 26 of the Companies Act 2006.

Representing Česká spořitelna, Československá obchodní banka, ING BELGIUM N.V./S.A., Komerční banka, Société Générale, UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Volksbank in connection with CZK 7,200,000,000 financing of an investment by Macquarie and Sunsuper funds into a joint venture with RWE.

Representing consortium of 11 banks in connection with EUR 1 billion financing provided to EP Energy, a member of Energeticky a prumyslovy holding, in the largest financing in the Czech history syndicated for a Czech borrower on the Prague market.

Representing Société Générale, Komerční banka, KBC Bank NV, Československá obchodní banka and Erste Group Bank AG in connection with EUR 151,800,000 financing relating to acquisition of a shopping centre Olympia in Brno.

Representing syndicate of 15 banks coordinated by ING Bank NV in connection with EUR 1,000,000,000 revolving credit facility provided to MOL, a leading European oil and gas producer.

Representing BNP Paribas as security agent for the lenders and notes trustee in respect of a CZK 1,500,000,000 revolving credit facility provided to, and EUR 170,000,000 senior notes issued by CME Group, the operator of the leading television networks in the CEE.

Representing Česká exportní banka, the Czech state owned export bank, in connection with term and guarantee facilities provided to a Czech industrial holding for the purposes of acquisition of energy generation and distribution networks in CIS and Turkey; the aggregate facilities amount exceeds EUR 450,000,000.

Representing Commerzbank AG, Citibank Europe plc and Komerční banka in connection with CZK 3,000,000,000 acquisition financing provided to a major CEE private equity group.

Representing Česká spořitelna, Komerční banka and Česká exportní banka in connection with multicurrency term, revolving and receivable purchase facilities in the aggregate amount exceeding USD 100,000,000 provided to Aero Vodochody for the purpose of financing deliveries to major international producers of aircrafts and helicopters.
