Top Energy M&A Lawyer Joins White & Case

New York, June 17, 2008 ... Global law firm White & Case LLP today announced the arrival of partner Michael S. Shenberg in its Mergers and Acquisitions Practice in New York. A recognized leader in his field, Shenberg will focus on energy M&A transactions for the Firm.

Shenberg is a transactional attorney concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, finance and corporate and commercial law matters in the energy sector. He has represented financial and strategic investors in numerous transactions involving the purchase or sale of power plants, including large portfolios, single-asset deals and joint ventures. Additionally, he counsels clients in a variety of project, acquisition and other financing matters in the sector.

Shenberg was previously the head of the Energy and Project Finance Group at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, where he worked on such deals as Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.'s and Texas Pacific Group's acquisition of TXU Corp. and Texas Genco and Orion Power's sale to Reliant Energy.
