Our firm has been immersed in the complexities of Middle Eastern law since the early 1950s, when we began representing what would become the Saudi Arabian Oil Company, the world’s largest oil company. Our continuing relationship with Saudi Aramco, and the development of significant client interest throughout the Middle East, led to the creation of a White & Case office in Riyadh, in the heart of the region in 1991 through an association with a premier Saudi law firm.

We recently initiated a relationship with a dynamic new firm that houses several resident lawyers and engages in a diverse range of domestic and international corporate, commercial and financial transactions. Many of the lawyers here are experienced in structuring transactions in accordance with the Islamic Shari'ah and in matters of Shari'ah jurisprudence.

The Riyadh office serves clients in Saudi Arabia, as well as the Gulf region in such practice areas as corporate transactions and joint ventures; engineering and construction law; project finance; banking and finance, including Islamic-based financings; and capital markets. We also advise on Saudi commercial litigation, maritime law, bankruptcy, employment, and intellectual property law. Lawyers from Arabian Gulf states also work from our office in New York.
