Practice Experience
Stuart is a partner working in the Banking & Capital markets group of the Firm's London office. He has extensive experience advising on debt and equity capital markets transactions (including liability management), with a primary focus on developing and emerging markets. Stuart acts for underwriters and issuers (including corporates, banks and sovereigns) and has advised on a number of market "firsts", including the first ever public debt and equity transactions in Nigeria (Guaranty Trust Bank), the first ever hybrid capital transaction in Kazakhstan (Kazkommertsbank) and the first combined emerging market / high yield "hybrid" bond for an emerging market issuer out of Russia (Sitronics). Recently, he advised on the largest ever corporate bond in history acting for the underwriters on the innovative US$3 billion financing for Kazmunaigas.
