Practice Experience
Rikard Wikström concentrates on Swedish and international commercial arbitrations, including construction and energy disputes.

Rikard also acts as counsel in litigation proceedings, including intellectual property infringement proceedings.

Prior to joining White & Case in 2006, Rikard served as a law clerk at a Swedish court and worked as an associate at a Swedish law firm.

His recent experience includes:

Acting as counsel for an Eastern European company in an international SCC arbitration regarding claims under inter alia a purchase agreement and a transit agreement. The dispute is conducted in English.
Acting as counsel for an international construction consortium regarding a US$150 million claim under a construction contract. The dispute is conducted in English.
Serving as sole arbitrator in an SCC arbitration regarding alleged breach of a non-competion clause in a shareholder agreement.
Acting as counsel for a major Swedish real estate company in an SCC arbitration regarding claim for damages due to breaches of a sales contract.
Acting as counsel for a major international metal company in an ad hoc international arbitration in Stockholm regarding claims under a sales contract. The dispute was conducted in English.
Acting as counsel for a Swedish construction company in a dispute concerning claims for defects under a SEK 150 million construction contract.
Acting as counsel for a major construction company in international arbitration proceedings under the UNCITRAL rules regarding claims under a construction agreement for the construction of a hospital. The dispute was conducted in English.
