White & Case Energy Policy Seminars: Updates from Japan, Europe and the US
Summer 2011

Energy policy around the globe is changing and evolving. The disaster at Fukushima has caused Japan and other nations to rethink their energy policy strategies, causing a tremendous amount of uncertainty for companies doing business around the world.

White & Case is pleased to have hosted a series of seminars focusing on energy policy and clean technology developments in Japan, the Europe and the US. These energy updates featured speakers from ExxonMobil, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu Research, Honda Motor Company, GE Energy and White & Case energy attorneys, as well as The Honorable Issei Tajima, a member of Japan's House of Representatives and Director, Committee on Environment of the Democratic Party of Japan, who was the opening session key note speaker. The series looked, among other things, at the state of energy policy in key regions post Fukushima, and role of technology and innovation will play in policy decisions moving forward.
