Practice Experience
Yohai Baisburd is an associate in the Firm's International Trade and Commercial Litigation Groups. His diverse practice includes representing foreign and domestic clients before federal and state courts, federal agencies and international tribunals in disputes under US and Mexican trade laws, and commercial litigation. He has represented foreign clients in various antidumping proceedings, including, Salmon from Chile, Softwood Lumber from Canada, Wire Rod from Mexico, and Rebar from Turkey. Mr. Baisburd has also represented US industries in trade remedy proceedings before Mexico's Secretaria de EconomÃa. He also provides counsel to US importers regarding US customs laws. In addition, Mr. Baisburd has counseled several foreign governments regarding negotiations and implementation of free trade agreements with the United States and other trade policy issues.
Prior to joining White & Case LLP, Mr. Baisburd spent three years as an associate at an international law firm in Washington, DC, and worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Eldon E. Fallon, US District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana (1999-2000).
