Vivian Tsoi's primary practice focus is on mergers and acquisitions and complex corporate transactions. She regularly advises China-based clients on strategies for entering into overseas markets.

Recent transactions Vivian has worked on include representation of:
  • Nestle in its acquisition of Hsu Fu Chi, a Singapore listed Chinese confectionary manufacturer (ongoing)
  • Haier in its acquisition of a portion of Sanyo's consumer electronic appliance businesses, including relevant intellectual property, work force, IT systems and distribution channels (ongoing)
  • HC Starck in its two sino-foreign equity joint ventures with Jiangxi Rare Metals Tungsten Holding Group Co., Ltd. for the processing and manufacturing of tungten products
  • China Development Bank in its proposed multibillion-dollar acquisition of a majority stake in a major German bank
  • China Development Bank in connection with its proposed acquisition of a stake in Citigroup
  • The largest US-listed office supplies distributor in its acquisition of a majority interest in second-largest office supplies distributor in China
  • A major Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer in acquisition of a Thai manufacturing plant from its Japanese parent
  • Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) in the acquisition, development and financing of a US$3 billion ethylene derivatives complex in Tianjin, China through a joint venture with Sinopec
