Adrian is a finance lawyer based in the London office. He has a broad background in international finance and has advised financial institutions on a range of lending transactions.  Adrian currently specialises in international asset finance and leasing transactions, with a particular emphasis on the aviation industry. His transaction experience in this area includes leveraged operating lease financings, tax-based lease structures, secured debt financings, securitizations and export credit agency-supported financings.

Adrian has represented banks, leasing companies and operators, and has recently acted for CIT Group, BNP Paribas, Aeroflot, Babcock & Brown and Thomas Cook Group, amongst others.
Prior to joining White & Case, Adrian worked at Wilde Sapte and Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

Examples of transaction experience include:-

• Representation of  Aeroflot in connection with the pre-delivery financing of seven Airbus A321 aircraft and the ECA-supported long-term financing of such aircraft;
• Representation of the banks and the ECAs in connection with the ECA-supported lease financing of five Airbus aircraft for China Eastern Airlines;
• Representation of the banks and the ECAs in connection with the ECA-supported lease financing of 12 Airbus A320 family aircraft for CSA Czech Airlines;
• Representation of Thomas Cook/MyTravel Group in connection with various sale and leaseback arrangements (aircraft and engines), operating leases, disposals, tax lease restructurings and the airline's subleasing arrangements;
• Representation of the originator in connection with a securitization involving the sale of over 30 aircraft in more than 20 jurisdictions and the novation of the underlying lease arrangements;
• Representation of Vietnam Airlines in connection with the negotiation of an ECA supported lease financing of three A321 Airbus aircraft;
• Representation of Aeroflot in connection with the negotiation of an export credit facility for eight Airbus A320 family aircraft supported by COFACE, Euler-Hermes and ECGD;
• Representation of Pegasus Aviation as owner/lessor on leveraged sale and leaseback transactions with Martinair and Cargolux;
• Member of the team advising the commercial bank syndicate in the financing of an integrated exploration and production oil and LNG project in Russia;
• Representation of  the lessor in connection with the UK tax lease financing of a communications satellite;
• Representation of  the lenders on the financing of LNG vessels
• Representation of the lessor in connection with the UK tax lease financing of an inner-city tram system in conjunction with a project financing facility; and
• Representation of  the British Railways Board on the vesting of three passenger train operating companies.
