Practice Experience
Andrew is a partner in the Corporate Department of the firm’s London office.  He advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions, with particular experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity transactions.

Prior to joining the firm in October 2005, Andrew was an associate at a leading UK law firm.  From April 2002 until April 2004, he was seconded to the New York office of a leading US law firm.

Andrew’s recent experience at White & Case includes:

  • Representing Weather Investments II S.a r.l, a privately held telecommunications investment company controlled by the Sawiris family and Naguib Sawiris, in its €1.1 billion disposal of a minority interest in Weather Investments S.p.A to funds managed by private equity firms Apax Partners Worldwide LLP, Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC and TA Associates, Inc;
  • Representing Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. in connection with its $1.3 billion acquisition of U.N Ro-Ro Isletmeleri A.S., a Turkish freight company;
  • Representing HarbourVest Partners, Pantheon Ventures and LGT Capital Partners in connection with their investment in Clyde Blowers Capital Fund II LP and the proposed acquisition by Clyde Blowers Capital Fund II LP of various seed assets, including four separate business units from Textron Inc;
  • Representing AlpInvest Partners N.V. in various secondary acquisitions of portfolios of investment funds and private equity interests;
  • Representing Goldman Sachs International in various secondary acquisitions of private equity interests;
  • Representing Goldman Sachs International in connection with its acquisition of a stake in Palm Hills Developments, a residential property developer in Egypt;
  • Representing airport operator BAA Limited on the sale of its 75 per cent. minus one share stake in Budapest Airport to a consortium let by HOCHTIEF AirPort GmbH for £1.309 billion;
  • Representing VINCI in the disposal of its global airport cargo and ground handling division to LBO France for €315 million;
  • Representing Freyssinet SAS (a subsidiary of VINCI) in its acquisition of NUKEM Limited, a UK-based nuclear engineering and related services business, from Advent International; and
  • Representing Investec on its acquisition of IdaTech LLC, a US fuel cells business, and the subsequent reorganisation and initial public offering of IdaTech plc on AIM.
