Practice Experience
Claus Wecker practices in the area of mergers and acquisitions.
He focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital as well as project finance. Due to his extensive transactional experience in the projects area (especially project finance), he frequently advises on M&A transactions in this area, often including business cooperations and joint ventures.
Claus Wecker is a founding partner of the White & Case Düsseldorf office. He has been a partner of the Firm since 1998. Before joining the Firm, he worked for more than 20 years in-house as counsel of Thyssen Handelsunion AG/general counsel of Thyssen Telecom AG. Before that, he spent about three years in New York, including as an associate at a major international law firm.
