Practice Experience
Daniel Gilbert is an associate in the Firm's Litigation and International Arbitration Groups.
Mr. Gilbert has experience representing both sovereign states and private investors in arbitrations of disputes arising under investment treaties before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
His recent experience includes:
- Counsel to PSEG in an ICSID arbitration against the Government of Turkey arising as a result of acts of the Government of Turkey in violation of the US/Turkey Bilateral Investment Treaty;
- Counsel to the Republic of the Philippines in an ICSID arbitration arising from termination of the concession to build and operate the new international airport terminal in Manila; and
- Counsel to Romania in an ICSID arbitration relating to claims brought under a bilateral investment treaty in a dispute over duty-free services at Romanian airports.
Mr. Gilbert also has experience representing clients in complex civil litigation matters at both the trial and appellate levels.
