Practice Experience
Danielle S. Tarin is an associate at White & Case and practices with the International Litigation and Arbitration Groups. Ms. Tarin has experience in representing sovereigns and their agencies and instrumentalities in commercial litigation before federal courts and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.
Representation of a sovereign state before the Second Circuit in a suit arising under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act for breach of contract and tort claims;
Representation of a sovereign state in an ICSID arbitration arising under a bilateral investment treaty regarding the privatization of several companies;
Representation of a sovereign state in an ICSID arbitration arising under a bilateral investment treaty regarding duty-free services;
Representation of a corporate client in adversary proceedings in a major bankruptcy case;
Argued a criminal appeal before the Fourth Circuit in
United States v. Wright
.
Before joining White & Case, Ms. Tarin served as law clerk to Judge Deborah Cook of the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and as a judicial intern to Judge Henry H. Kennedy of the US District Court for the District of Columbia. Ms. Tarin also served as a Graduate Fellow at the Central Intelligence Agency and studied as Fulbright Scholar to Egypt at the American University in Cairo.
