Practice Experience
Ekaterina is an associate in our corporate group who advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial law matters, including joint ventures and M&A transactions. She has experience assisting both Russian and international companies in conducting due diligence reviews and structuring transactions in Russia and throughout the CIS.
Her recent experience includes:
- Advising Sberbank, the largest bank in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, on a potential joint acquisition, together with Magna International, of a 55 percent interest in Adam Opel GmbH and its subsidiaries in a number of European countries including Russia, from the US automobile producer General Motors Company;
- Advising Atria Group, an international food processing company, on its €75 million acquisition of the Russian meat processing company Campomos from Campofrio Alimentacion, a Spanish company;
- Advising Bank Hapoalim on its acquisition of 78 percent of SDM Bank, the first acquisition of a Russian bank by an Israeli bank;
- Advising Bombardier Transportation, a leader in the global rail sector, on establishing three joint ventures with Transmashholding, Russia's largest manufacturer of rolling stock and Russian Railways' main supplier;
- Advising MIH on the acquisition of Russian television and broadcasting businesses and of an interest in the Russian internet portal Port.ru; and
- Representing Societe Generale in a record-setting US$2.3 billion, multi-stage acquisition of Rosbank, Russia's top private consumer bank, from the Interros Group.
