Evgeny specializes in Russian tax and customs matters related to direct investments, M&A transactions, trading and production, transfer pricing, IP and e-business, and employment.

He also has significant experience advising on tax aspects of real estate projects in Russia, particularly the development of real estate property.

Evgeny's recent experience includes advising:

Amway with the establishment of its Russian operations;
Bank of Cyprus on the acquisition of an 80 percent stake in Uniastrum Bank, a commercial Russian bank with the ninth largest network in the country;
Buehler on tax matters regarding customer services in Russia and the activities of a representative office;
Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH on Russian tax issues in connection with structuring investments in the Russian real estate sector;
a Russian subsidiary of Turkish company specializing in turnkey construction of industrial facilities on two tax disputes with Russian tax authorities involving input VAT refunds;
Goldman Sachs on the acquisition of Pokrovsky Hills, an elite townhouse development in northwest Moscow, from AIG and Deutsche Bank;
Google on the acquisition of a leading Russian context advertising service, ZAO Begun, from Rambler Media; and
a Russian subsidiary of a major German producer on two tax disputes with Russian tax authorities involving input VAT offsets.
