Practice Experience
Mr. Garcia-Naranjo's practice includes, among others, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, banking, and labor law.
He has actively participated in several international corporate and financial transactions, including, among others, the sale of Banco Industrial by the Mexican Savings Protection Institute, (FDIC equivalent) the sale by Grupo Financiero Banamex of a portion of its mortgage portfolio as well as its agricultural business division, the issuance of subordinated notes by Banorte, and the engagement of information technology services by Banco del Ahorro Nacional y Servicios Financieros, for the implementation of its information technology network. Likewise, he is an active member of the legal team advising Kansas City Southern in its acquisition of Grupo Transportación Ferroviaria Mexicana, and participates in the office of the secretary of the board of Consorcio Aeroméxico, S.A.B. de C.V., and its subsidiaries, among others. Mr. Garcia-Naranjo participated in the sale by Consorcio Aeroméxico, S.A. de C.V., of its subsidiary Grupo Mexicana de Aviación to Grupo Posadas.
Francisco García-Naranjo has actively participated in several projects for the authorization of financial entities in Mexico such as Banco Autofin Mexico, S.A., Banco Wal-Mart Adelante, S.A., Afore Coppel, S.A. de C.V., and Scotia Afore, S.A. de C.V.
