Practice Experience
Mr. Koenigsberg concentrates in copyright law, including counseling and litigation.
He negotiates and drafts license agreements, counsels on copyright matters including estates with copyright issues, litigates infringement claims, conducts administrative proceedings before the United States Copyright Office and the Copyright Royalty Board and participates in legislative efforts in the United States Congress. With significant experience in international copyright, Mr. Koenigsberg was named by the United States Department of State to the Ad Hoc Working Group on U.S. Adherence to the Berne Convention, was a member of the National Committee for the Berne Convention, and the Advisory Committee on Copyright Registration and Deposit (ACCORD) of the Library of Congress and was a private sector representative on the United States delegation to the diplomatic conference on the WIPO Copyright Treaty.
Mr. Koenigsberg is Counsel to the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).
Mr. Koenigsberg also has represented the Walt Disney Company, BMG Music Publishing, Inc., Garth Brooks, and children's author Rosemary Wells among many other clients, advising as to copyright matters.
