Practice Experience
Gordon Charlton is an associate in the Capital Markets Group in London. Gordon is qualified to practice English and Canadian law and has a broad-based corporate finance practice. He has considerable experience in international equity and debt offerings and has represented several publicly listed companies and investment banks in the UK and Western Europe as well as the CIS and Africa. Gordon also has broad experience representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, corporate reorganisation and other corporate transactions.
Recent transactions include:
- US$250 million IPO of Ruspetro PLC on the premium segment of the London Stock Exchange;
- US$500 million issue of 5.5% notes by the Republic of Namibia;
- Update of KazMunayGas US$7.5 billion global medium term note programme and subsequent issue of US$1.25 billion 6.75% notes;
- US$430 million IPO of Royal Bafokeng Platinum Limited on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange; and
- Establishment of PTA Bank’s US$1 billion medium term note programme and subsequent issue of US$300 million notes.
