Gordon Charlton is an associate in the Firm’s Capital Markets group and joined the London office of White & Case in July 2007.

He has experience representing issuers and underwriters in securities offerings with an emphasis in equity capital markets, and has also represented several publicly listed companies in various mergers and acquisitions transactions.

Gordon has recently advised a Kazakh based oil and gas partnership on its IPO on the London Stock Exchange and a joint venture among global media companies NBCU Universal, Inc. and New Delhi Television Limited.

Examples of recent representations (prior to joining White & Case) include:

• Acting for Barclays Global Investors Canada Limited in its offering of multiple exchange traded funds listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange;
• Advising the special committee of trustees of Great Lakes Carbon Income Fund regarding the sale of the fund to Oxbow Carbon & Mineral Holdings, Inc.;
• Acting for Limited Brands, Inc. in its successful offer to purchase La Senza Corporation; and
• Acting for Sapporo Breweries Ltd. in its successful offer to purchase Sleeman Breweries Limited.
