Gerald Fujii concentrates on corporate and international finance especially in the areas of real estate finance, real estate investment funds, equipment leasing and joint ventures.

Recent representative transactions include advising Secured Capital Japan and its real estate investment funds on its transactions in Japan and China, including buy-backs and workouts of distressed debt, JPMorgan on numerous Japanese real estate lending matters and many other REITs, investment funds, equity investors and lenders on their real estate transactions in Japan. Prior to joining the Firm in 1999, Mr. Fujii worked for three years at a leading Japanese international law firm. He also has more than seven years of complex business litigation and corporate experience, working in the healthcare and litigation departments of a major San Francisco law firm and at a litigation firm in Los Angeles.

Mr. Fujii is highly regarded in the real estate area in Japan and is ranked as one of the leading foreign real estate lawyers in Japan by Chambers Global, PLC Which Lawyer?, Legal 500 and Best Lawyers: Japan.

Mr. Fujii is registered as a Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi.
