Practice Experience
Mr. Peigney’s principal areas of practice include sovereign and corporate financings, and mergers and acquisitions.
He has represented borrowers, senior and junior lenders in financings involving the acquisition of companies in Europe and the United States. Recently, Mr. Peigney represented the senior lenders led by BNP in the Autodistribution acquisition financing, Paribas in the Mumm acquisition financing, the borrower in the financing put in place for the construction of the “Coeur Défense” towers and the senior lenders in the financing of the acquisition of various major companies in Switzerland, the United States and France. Mr. Peigney is currently representing the senior lenders in the financing of an acquisition of a listed company in the United States through a tender offer and in the financing of an acquisition of a company in the Netherlands.
Mr. Peigney has extensive experience representing French and foreign banks in asset and project financings involving cable networks, waste treatment facilities, airplanes and aircraft spare-parts development programs in Europe.
He has 20 years of sovereign bank refinancings experience. Mr. Peigney has represented bank steering committees for the Ivory Coast and the Congo. More recently, Mr. Peigney has been exclusively representing sovereign borrowers, among which are the Kingdom of Morocco, Algeria, Kenya and Gabon. Mr. Peigney also advises the Republic of Guinea, which is putting in place a debt buy-back program sponsored by the World Bank.
Mr. Peigney has also served a number of French or non-French clients in connection with mergers/acquisitions or divestitures in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, Belgium, the United Kingdom and other European countries.
