Practice Experience
Ilona Fedurek focuses on banking, as well as corporate, civil and insolvency law issues.
She has participated in a number of domestic and cross-border loan transactions, including project finance and acquisition finance transactions, structuring and drafting loan and security documentation. Within the scope of banking law regulatory issues, she has advised on outsourcing banking services, capital adequacy requirements, instruments eligible as regulatory capital as well as on liquidity buffers.
Ilona has significant experience in advising banks on internal banking regulations and bank product documentation. She was involved in the process of preparing a standard form security package for a notable bank in Poland.
Ilona has also been involved in litigation and arbitration cases handled by the White & Case Warsaw office in connection with investment and construction case disputes involving Polish banks. Furthermore, Ilona has been engaged in insolvency proceedings regarding companies seated in Poland.
Examples of recent representations include acting for and advising Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte S.A., one of the largest European construction companies for infrastructure projects, in negotiating a PLN 1.4 billion construction contract for the construction and operation of the Polish A1 toll motorway section.
Before joining White & Case, Ilona had several internships in Polish and international law firms.
Ilona graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the Wroclaw University. As a Socrates-Erasmus scholar, she also studied at the Faculty of Law at the Gent Univesiteit in Belgium, specializing in European Banking and Capital Markets Law, European and Comparative Company Law, International Commercial Transactions as well as International Commercial Arbitration.
Ms. Fedurek is an attorney-in-law (adwokat).
Ms. Fedurek is fluent in English, and has a basic command of German. She is also able to communicate in Dutch.
