Igor is executive partner in the Moscow office. He specializes in cross-border and domestic M&A transactions in the oil & gas, power, and metals & mining industries, practicing in Russia for more than 15 years. In addition to his oil & gas / energy M&A focus, Igor's other areas of expertise include privatization, corporate restructuring, insolvency, antitrust, corporate compliance / white collar and multijurisdictional disputes. He also advises on project finance transactions, in particular in the oil & gas industry.

Igor's recent work includes advising:
  • AAR Consortium formed by three of Russia's leading investment, financial, and industrial groups - Alfa Group, Access Industries, and Renova on the US$28 billion sale of its 50 percent stake in TNK-BP, a leading Russian oil company and one of the world's top ten privately-owned oil companies in the world, to Rosneft, an oil and gas exploration and production company listed in Russia;
  • Hess Corporation on the US$2.05 billion sale of its Russian subsidiary Samara-Nafta to LUKOIL;
  • TNK-BP in the sale of Novosibirskneftegaz and a 71.09 percent stake in Severnoeneftegaz, a Russia-based company engaged in development of oil fields and oil extraction, to a group of Russian and foreign investors owning assets in the Russian oil and gas industry;
  • Access Industries on its acquisition of interest in Russian power generating companies TGK-6 and TGK-7;
  • TNK-BP on its US$1.8 billion acquisition of BP's upstream and pipeline assets in Vietnam and Venezuela;
