Igor heads our Moscow energy & utilities practice and is the co-head of our CEE energy & utilities practice. He specializes in cross-border M&A transactions in the oil and gas, power, and metals and mining industries; practicing in Russia for nearly 15 years. In addition his energy M&A focus, Igor’s other areas of expertise include general corporate law, corporate restructurings, insolvency, and antitrust. He also advises in various financings in the Russian oil and gas industry, including pre-export finance and project finance. Igor is listed as a top corporate/M&A lawyer in Russia by Chambers Global and IFLR 1000.

Igor's recent work includes:

• advising Integra Group on a $70 million acquisition of drilling assets;
• advising TNK-BP in connection with the sale of OAO Saratovneftegaz, OAO Orsknefteorgsintez, OAO Orenburgnefteprodukt, OAO Neftemaslozavod;
• advising TNK-BP in connection with corporate restructuring of its Russian group; and
• advising Tyumen Oil Company (TNK) and its shareholders, Alfa-Access-Renova (AAR), on certain aspects of a $18 billion joint-venture alliance with British Petroleum (BP), the largest foreign investment/equity deal in Russia since the break-up of the Soviet Union.

Prior to joining White & Case in 1997, Igor worked as chief legal advisor at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and as a private legal practitioner for more than five years.  During this period he represented local and international clients and acted as local counsel for several international law firms in the Republic of Belarus.

Since 1994 Igor has served as an arbitrator of the International Arbitration Court under the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
