Practice Experience
Mr. Leifer is a dual English and Hong Kong-qualified partner, with over 17 years’ practice experience, including 15 years as a Hong Kong lawyer. He is a corporate/commercial lawyer whose practice encompasses mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and securities issues, and commercial contracts (including joint venture arrangements).
He advises on corporate acquisitions and divestitures, and their related structuring issues. As a practitioner of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Listing Rules and Hong Kong Takeover Code, he regularly advises on securities and offering related issues arising out of public issues in Hong Kong. In this context, he has represented debtors, white knights and creditors in a wide variety of listed company workouts situations. He has also acted for several issuers undertaking Dutch auctions of Eurobonds.
