Ms. Winters is a commercial litigation associate who specializes in bankruptcy litigation. She has represented creditors and debtors in complex bankruptcy cases and has assisted with other commercial litigation and white collar matters in federal and state court.
Her significant recent experience includes:
- Representation of creditors in the LA Dodgers, Lehman Brothers, Tribune Company, Six Flags, Delphi Corporation, and ION Media Networks bankruptcy cases;
- Representation of a multi-national corporation regarding compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, including conducting an internal investigation in cooperation with the Department of Justice
- Representation of lenders in a multi-jurisdictional dispute involving defaulted debt related to residential real estate development projects;
- Representation of pro bono clients including immigration matters and an appeal of a criminal conviction.
Ms. Winters is also an adjunct professor of legal writing at Brooklyn Law School. Prior to joining White & Case, Ms. Winters clerked for the Honorable Elizabeth S. Stong in the Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.
