Jessie Yan is an associate in the Beijing office of White & Case.

Jessie advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments and initial public offerings and advises listed companies on listing rules and Companies Ordinance.

Examples of transactions she has been involved in include:

• Representing a leading Indonesian conglomerate on the acquisition of a 5 star hotel in Jakarta from an international investment company;
• Representing a private equity fund in relation to its investment in an Indian non-bank finance business;
• Representing Cargill in a potential China investment;
• Representing Asian Development Bank in a private equity investment restructuring;
• Representing TPV Technology (the world's leading monitors and display devices manufacturer) in its acquisition of television sales and distribution network in China;
• Representing TPV Technology (the world's leading monitors and display devices manufacturer) in its acquisition of monitors and public signage worldwide sales and distribution business;
• Representing an Indonesian client in the investment in an AIM listed company;
• Representing Ping An in the proposed investment in Fortis Investment Management;
• Representing a private equity fund in its HK$850 million investment in a property development company in China;
• Representing Kingsoft Corporation Limited as leading Hong Kong attorney in its initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange;
• Representing BNP Paribas and UBS as leading Hong Kong attorney in the initial public offering of Haitian International Holdings Limited on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange;
• Representing BNP Paribas in the initial public offering of Dalian Port on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange;
• Representing the AEP Industries in its AU$100 million sale of assets in Australia;
• Representing CK Life Sciences Int’l., (Holdings) Inc. in its acquisition of Nuturf Australia Pty Ltd;
• Representing the sellers in the AU$25 million disposal of Woods & Woods Pty Ltd to Orica Limited; and
• Various M&A, private equity and placement deals in Australia, Hong Kong and the PRC.

Before joining White & Case, Jessie worked at another leading international law firm in Hong Kong and in a leading Australian law firm in Sydney.
