Practice Experience
Koichiro Ohashi, joined White & Case in 1998 and has extensive experience in the Japanese domestic market, as well as advising on cross-border transactions, and regularly represents financial institutions.
Mr. Ohashi advises clients on Japanese capital market regulations including the Financial Instruments and Exchange Law, the Investment Trust Management Law, the Banking Law and the Insurance Business Law.
Mr. Ohashi represents several fund managers in the registration of funds for distribution in Japan.
He frequently provides advice on the structure of both domestic and offshore funds to be distributed to Japanese investors.
He leads various types of financial transactions such as securitization deals, derivative transactions, PIPE transactions, mezzanine finance transactions and equity finance transactions. Mr. Ohashi is frequently involved in mergers and acquisitions for financial institutions in Japan and provides advice on tender offer regulations.
Recently, he has represented financial institutions in a number of major insolvency cases.
