Practice Experience
Mr. Gannon's practice primarily involves asset-based and structured financing, including equipment and facility leasing and project finance, with emphasis on energy facility financing. He has represented a variety of parties in the financing of power generation and transmission facilities in the United States and around the world, including lenders, underwriters, sponsors and credit support providers. Recent transactions include the representation of an independent power company in the financing of a 620 megawatt gas-fired facility located in California, the representation of a sponsor entity in the financing of a transmission line in Nevada utilizing a Department of Energy guarantee, the representation of the lenders in the refinancing of a transmission cable project in San Francisco, representation of a large commodities company in the restructuring of its North American operations, representation of the sponsor in connection with the restructuring of the financing of a biodiesel facility in the Midwest and the representation of a lender group in connection with the bankruptcy proceedings of a borrower and owner of an ethanol facility in the Midwest. Mr. Gannon has also been involved in numerous renewable energy, alternative fuel and industrial facility financings, and is currently representing an independent power company in connection with its consideration of a potential sale of assets and another such company considering a financial restructuring.
