Practice Experience
Marette Kemp is an Associate in the Firm's Banking and Capital Markets Group.

She joined the London office of White & Case in July 2007 from a South African law firm, having practiced as an associate for three years and thereafter as a non equity partner, concentrating in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and corporate finance structures.

Marette has experience representing underwriters and issuers (public and private) on a range of debt and equity capital market transactions (outside of the United States pursuant to Regulation S and inside the United States pursuant to Rule 144A), with a primary focus on emerging and developing markets including Africa and Central and Eastern Europe. She represented Diamond Bank Plc, one of Nigeria's leading commercial banks, in its US$500 million combined international and domestic offering of GDRs on the Professional Securities Market of the London Stock Exchange and Guarantee Trust Bank of Nigeria in establishing and listing its US$2 billion GMTN programme on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. Recently, she advised on a private debut Eurobond issue by a sovereign in East Central Asia.
