Practice Experience
Mr. Pališin joined White & Case in 2006, after graduating from Ghent University Law School's LLM Program in European and Comparative Law. During his studies, Mr. Pališin focused on internal market law, European competition law, European and comparative company law and judicial protection in the European Union.

Since joining White & Case, Mr. Pališin has advised clients on a wide range of matters in the fields of corporate law, contractual law, labor law and administrative law, including their related EU law aspects.

Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions

Mr. Pališin regularly provides comprehensive advice on the establishment and operation of corporate entities in the Slovak Republic, which includes inter alia the drafting of corporate documents, the drafting and review of various commercial contracts, representing clients in relations with public authorities and advice on related regulatory and labor law issues.

In this field, Mr. Pališin has participated in the implementation of a number of corporate changes of various Slovak entities, including mergers, changes in legal form as well as various other day-to-day corporate changes.

Mr. Pališin has also been involved in several merger and acquisition projects where he participated in the performance of due diligence of Czech and Slovak companies, including large production companies and an insurance company. In this regard, he has also provided legal advice on various related legal issues, including competition and pre-closing matters.

Competition Law and Regulatory Matters

In his practice, Mr. Pališin also focuses on Slovak and EC competition law and was a member of the team that advised a major Slovak construction company and a major Japanese producer of electrical equipment in their defense against charges brought against them by the Slovak Antimonopoly Office, both in the course of the proceedings before the Office and the respective Slovak courts. In addition, Mr. Pališin provided advice to a major Slovak bank in its defense against damage claims arising in connection with alleged uncompetitive behavior. He has also advised on various matters in connection with the mergers of companies under Slovak law.

In addition, Mr. Pališin has provided advice on various regulatory matters in the field of the provision of financial services, primarily insurance and financial services brokerage, including advice on various data protection issues. He has also provided day-to-day legal assistance to clients in connection with their participation in high-profile public procurement and private tenders in the Slovak Republic, including legal advice to a member of a consortium of companies participating in the tender for the provision of electronic toll collection services and to a major producer of helicopters in a tender for the supply of helicopters.
