Practice Experience
Mary is an associate in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Group in London.  She has experience in advising sponsors and lender on project financings including refinancings and restructurings. 

Mary trained and qualified with White & Case working in the London and Hong Kong offices from 2000 to 2005.  Prior to rejoining White & Case in 2007, Mary spent two years in the legal department of BG Group PLC advising on a variety of oil, gas and LNG projects in the Mediterranean Basin and Africa Region.

Representative transactions include:
  • Advising a wind developer on its proposed acquisition of offshore assets in Germany.
  • Advising on the funding agreement for the development of micosolar projects in Zambia.
  • Advising BG Group PLC on the project development and project financing of its joint venture LNG Plant being developed in Olokola, Nigeria including advising on joint venture structures, offtake arrangements for both LNG and other products, tax and fiscal arrangement.   
  • Advising an upstream joint venture in respect of PSC arrangements for a development block offshore Nigeria.
  • Advising the sponsors on the project financing of the US$540 million EBIC Ammonia plant in Egypt; 
  • Assisting in the representation of the lead arrangers in the restructuring of the Titan Methanol Financing, Trinidad and Tobago, following acquisition of the Borrower by Methanex Corporation.
  • Assisting in the representation of the international lead arrangers in the US$1.06 billion financing of trains 4 and 5 of the Nigeria LNG Plant. 
  • Assisting in the representation of EBRD on various financings in Eastern Europe and the CIS.
