Global law firm White & Case LLP has strengthened its Global Capital Markets Practice with the addition of partner Gernot Wagner in its Frankfurt office.
"Gernot is a top quality lawyer with a strong market profile and transactional record. His arrival at White & Case reflects our commitment to the continued development and strategic build out of our capital markets practice in Europe," said Stuart Matty, White & Case partner and Global Capital Markets Practice Leader. "The investments we've made in Europe, including the expansion of our teams in Paris and Milan and the launch of an office in Madrid, demonstrate the continued and increased demand for cross-border capital markets advice from our clients across the region."
Wagner advises clients, including banks, private equity houses and major corporations, on high yield offerings and public and private debt and equity transactions. He joins from Allen & Overy where he was head of the firm's US corporate finance group in Frankfurt.
"Gernot's arrival ensures the Firm continues to be closely aligned with the needs of our clients," said partner Markus Hauptmann, Regional Section Head, Germany. "As a US qualified lawyer, Gernot can support clients across jurisdictions and, as well as being an excellent addition to the capital markets group, his practice naturally complements the Firm's growing EMEA private equity practice."
Worldwide the Global Capital Markets Practice has more than 60 partners based in 19 offices advising on all aspects of securities transactions and providing regulatory guidance to clients across the globe.
