Practice Experience
Norbert Majerholc is a Partner in the Firm's Paris office and is head of the Paris Tax division. Mr. Majerholc's principal areas of practice include French and international tax law, mergers and acquisitions, and group structure reorganisations.
Mr. Majerholc has experience with French and international clients in various industries, notably luxury goods, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, real estate and investment funds.
Mr. Majerholc has regularly advised clients on the tax aspects of mergers and spin-offs involving international groups, such as ICI-Zeneca, Hoechst, LVMH, Sperian Protection and Suez Environnement.
Over the last few years, Mr. Majerholc's practice has been heavily orientated to structuring the deals of investment funds such as IK Investment Partners, Carlyle, Wendel Investissement, Chequers, Eurazeo, BC Partners, Legris Industries etc. (including the setting up of funds, the structuring of carried investment and management packages etc.).
He also has a long-standing practice in serving private clients.
Mr. Majerholc also has extensive experience in application for tax rulings with the French Ministry of Budget, in assisting clients undergoing tax audits, and in representing clients in tax litigation before various administrative authorities and before French Courts.
Prior to joining White & Case in 1997, Norbert was a tax partner in a major international accounting firm in Paris.
