Campbell's reputation is based on almost 25 years' experience supporting major clients from a range of business sectors with international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and privatization transactions in the Middle East, Europe and Africa.

Prior to joining White & Case in 2011, Campbell headed the Middle East practice of another international law firm, and he has lived in the UAE for the past six years. His achievements while practicing in this business environment led to him being named External Counsel of the Year 2009 by Asian-Counsel Magazine and M&A lawyer of the Year, UAE at the 2010 ILO Client Choice Awards.

Metal One Corporation

Campbell represented Japanese steel trading company Metal One Corporation, a joint venture of Mitsubishi Corporation and Sojitz Corporation, on its investments in Iteco Middle East, a global steel pipe trading company based in the United Arab Emirates.

Saudi construction materials group

Campbell represented a major Saudi construction materials group on its IPO on Tadawul.

CPC Holding

Campbell acted for CPC Holding, a leading Saudi building materials group, on its private placement capital raising through sale of shares to Standard Chartered Private Equity.

EMTS

Campbell represented EMTS, a joint venture company established by Etisalat and Mubadala, on its acquisition of Alheri Mobile, a 3G mobile telecoms business in Nigeria. Campbell also advised a consortium led by Vodacom Group in relation to the proposed US$1.3 billion acquisition of V-mobile.

Dhabi Group

Campbell represented Dhabi Group in the ongoing sale of its telecommunications business in Cote d'Ivoire and Congo, and on its recently completed sale of its Ugandan business, Warid Telecom Uganda, to Bharti Airtel.

TWI Group

Campbell represented TWI Group on its recent acquisition of Safar Oilfield Services, UAE.

DP World

Campbell represented DP World on its US$670 million acquisition of Sokhna Port, Egypt, through the acquisition of a substantial shareholding in ECHCO, the company established for the operation of the port, from Amiral Holdings and Orascom Construction.

Qatar Petroleum

Campbell represented Qatar Petroleum on its US$500 m IPO of Gulf International Services QSC.

Al Dahra Holdings

Campbell acted for Al Dahra Holdings on its joint venture with Grace for the development construction of the first fluid Catalytic Cracking Catalysts manufacturing plant in the Middle East.
