Ms. Sert's practice is focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures and general corporate matters. She represents a wide variety of multinational and Turkish clients in transactions in Turkey and various other jurisdictions.

Ms. Sert's prior experience includes work as an investment banking analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York City. Her work there consisted of structuring and maintaining strategic financing alternatives such as synthetic leases, partnerships and project financings.

Gama Holding in its acquisition of 50% of the shares in Gama Enerji from JV partner General Electric and its subsequent sale of 27% of the shares in Gama Enerji to IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, and GIF, a fund managed by the IFC Asset Management Company (AMC).

Abdi İbrahim, the largest pharmaceutical company in Turkey by sales, in entering into a new partnership agreement and buying 49% of Remede Pharma, a company that manufactures and markets pharmaceuticals in the Algerian market and in its purchase of 60% of the shares of Global Pharm LLP, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Kazakhstan.

Eaton Corporation, a global technology leader in diversified power management solutions that also serves the hydraulics, aerospace and electrical markets, in its acquisition of 100% of the shares of Polimer Kauçuk Sanayi ve Pazarlama A.S., one of Turkey's leading manufacturers and exporters of industrial, hydraulic, PVC and thermoplastic hose.

Pangaea One Acquisition Holdings XV, LLC, a company wholly owned by funds controlled by private equity fund Cartesian Capital Group, LLC, in the purchase of 5.813% of the shares of TAB Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., the company holding the exclusive franchise rights to and operating and subfranchising restaurants under international quick service restaurant food brands Burger King, Sbarro, Arby's and Popeyes in Turkey and three additional group companies providing services to TAB's restaurants.
