Emily Xueref-Poviac is an associate in the Firm's Antitrust Practice Group based in Paris.

Emily advises French and international clients in a wide variety of industrial sectors on EU and French competition law matters.

Emily's expertise includes:

Alleged cartel abuses alleged abuses of dominance cases: in proceedings before the French Competition Authority and the European Commission;

Merger control filings: pre-merger risk assessment, formal merger filings before the French Competition Authority, the European Commission and national competition authorities, multi-filing analysis, coordination of multiple merger filings;

Horizontal cooperative agreements, vertical restraints and distribution networks; and Regulatory issues (energy and transport).

Before joining White & Case in 2013, Emily practiced in the Paris office of a Magic Circle law firm for 3 years.

European and multi-jurisdictional filings in the connectivity industry for a leading maker of heavy-duty electronic connectors.

Multi-jurisdictional filings for a joint-venture in the animal-health sector.

EU merger clearance for a global financial institution, and its fully-owned subsidiary, specialising in full service vehicle leasing.

Assisting a global rental car giant in a cartel investigation by the French Competition Authority, in addition to providing on-going advice on general EU and antitrust matters.
