Eva Svobodová focuses on capital markets transactions, securities and collective investment. Ms. Svobodová is qualified as an attorney in the Czech Republic and the US.
Ms. Svobodová's experience includes the representation of underwriters and issuers (including corporates, banks and sovereigns) on a range of domestic and international capital markets transactions, including both debt and equity. Ms. Svobodová also regularly advises clients on regulatory issues, including the cross-border provision of investment services and trading, licensing, reporting obligations, as well as takeovers. Ms. Svobodová's practice also includes fund formation, and structuring and regulatory advice in the area of collective investment.
Ms. Svobodová was listed among the leading lawyers in the area of Banking, Finance and Capital Markets in the Czech Republic by the recent edition of the publication, The Legal 500 (2011).
Prior to joining White & Case in 2005, Ms. Svobodová worked in the Prague offices of two other reputable international law firms.

Representation of VGP N.V., a developer of logistics centers in Central and Eastern Europe, in connection with Czech legal issues in relation to the IPO of its ordinary shares and dual listing of all existing and newly-issued shares on the main market of the Prague Stock Exchange and on Euronext Brussels.
Representation of CEZ, a. s., the largest Czech energy company, in connection with the dual listing of its shares on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
