Michal Kocifaj is an international trade analyst with experience in developing country economic policy, government regulation and free trade negotiations. He monitors and provides analysis on trade, customs and investment developments in India and ASEAN member countries, in particular the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam, as well as on EU issues relating to selected countries. Michal also conducts research and drafts reports for multinational corporations and governmental agencies on relevant trade issues, including regulatory, customs and investment developments and regional integration in Asia.
Prior to joining the Firm, Michal was a trainee with the European Chamber of Commerce, Singapore; the European Investment Bank, Luxembourg; the European Commission, Directorate-General for Trade, Brussels; and the Permanent Mission of the Slovak Republic to the WTO and the UN in Geneva.
