Sonia has a broad range of experience in global litigation, with a particular emphasis on fast-track intellectual property-based and anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations before the United States International Trade Commission. Clients also benefit from her experience in trade secret litigation and extensive general litigation experience in federal and state courts.
Before joining White & Case, Sonia was Counsel to the Chairman at the USITC. Her experience prior to the USITC includes over a decade of experience at two international law firms, where she represented both American and foreign companies, complainants and respondents in section 337 investigations, and worked on a broad array of district court matters, including antitrust, RICO and constitutional law cases.
Sonia currently serves as President of the Women's Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
Represents a leading stainless steel manufacturer in Section 337 proceeding before the US International Trade Commission involving the alleged misappropriation of trade secrets.
Served as counsel for Google who intervened in investigation to defend its customers (Samsung, HTC, and LG) against patent infringement claims involving smartphones, tablet computers, and other communications devices.
