Overview

Sylvain Bollée is a Consultant in the International Arbitration practice based in Paris.

Sylvain is a Professor at the Sorbonne Law School (Paris 1 University). He teaches, in particular, private international law, international business law, arbitration law and alternative dispute resolution. He is widely published in these fields.

In addition to his academic activities, Sylvain has acted as a consultant, expert witness, arbitrator and counsel in international disputes before French and foreign (Canadian, English, Spanish, American) courts and arbitral tribunals (ICC, ICSID, etc.).

Representing the contractors in an ICC arbitration against insurers, in a dispute related to a major hydroelectric power project in South America.

Representing a consortium of Asian contractors in ICC arbitration proceedings related to a major infrastructure project in North Africa.

Representing an Eastern European State in an ICC arbitration against a creditor of a Communist-era State-owned company and in subsequent annulment proceedings before French courts.

Representing the claimant in an ICSID arbitration, in an dispute pertaining to an investment in the banking sector.
